The Family Stone (2005)

Cast: Claire Danes (Julie Morton), Diane Keaton (Sybil Stone), Rachel McAdams (Amy Stone), too many wonderful cast members to list
For complete information, see IMDb's The Family Stone page.
This movie had more sad parts (the ending is a bit sad) than I anticipated from the commercials, but it's still a wonderful movie. The Family Stone touches on just about every sticky subject that can come up in a family, so if you're easily offended you might want to skip it. Otherwise, it's a wonderful movie about family and dealing with different life and relationship issues within a family.
The cast is, of course, amazing and the script is worthy of the cast.

Red Eye (2005)

Cast: Rachel McAdams (Lisa Reisert), Cillian Murphy (Jackson Rippner)
For complete info, see IMDb's Red Eye page.
Another great Wes Craven movie! Red Eye was even better than I expected given the previews and Wes Craven as director. The movie is set up well, the cast is amazing, the suspense is first class, and the story is great! What more can you ask for in a thriller? As a fan of thrillers and not horror, Wes Craven has impressed me for years.
If you like thrillers, this is a must see!

Wedding Crashers (2005)

Cast: Owen Wilson (John Beckwith), Vince Vaughn (Jeremy Grey), Rachel McAdams (Claire Cleary), Isla Fisher (Gloria Cleary)
For complete info on this great cast, see IMDb's Wedding Crashers page.
I'll see anything with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn and love the rest of the cast, so I was sold on this movie before I even saw a preview. The idea is so great. To actually schedule your life around "wedding season" and crash weddings every weekend to hook up with women. The idea of wedding crashing being almost a sport was just so funny.
The cast of Wedding Crashers does a wonderful job with this great script. This is definitely a movie we'll end up owning on DVD. It's a movie that you can easily watch again and again and still laugh.

Mean Girls (2004)

Cast: Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron), Rachel McAdams (Regina George), Tina Fey (Ms. Norbury), Tim Meadows (Mr. Duvall), Amy Poehler (Mrs. George)
For complete cast, see IMDb's Mean Girls page.
I didn't read the original book by Rosalind Wiseman, but Tina Fey (of Saturday Night Live fame) did an amazing job with the screenplay. Mean Girls is a great movie about high school cliques. There hasn't been a high school clique as interseting as the Plastics since the Heathers. This is a great, fun movie rental!
