The Break-Up (2006)

Cast: Vince Vaughn (Gary Grobowski), Jennifer Aniston (Brooke Meyers), Joey Lauren Adams (Addie), Cole Hauser (Lupus Grobowski)
For complete cast info, see IMDb's The Break-Up page.

Definitely not a great movie, but it's also no Gigli. The Break-Up is a really cute movie. Having seen the previews, I kept waiting for a few scenes that never really showed up in the movie, but that happens more often now than it used to, it seems.

I think this was a really cute movie. Not the best romantic comedy I've ever seen, but it's definitely worth seeing. If you don't get a chance to see it in theatres, since there are just too many movies with major special effects out there, definitely put it on your rental list.

Wedding Crashers (2005)

Cast: Owen Wilson (John Beckwith), Vince Vaughn (Jeremy Grey), Rachel McAdams (Claire Cleary), Isla Fisher (Gloria Cleary)
For complete info on this great cast, see IMDb's Wedding Crashers page.

I'll see anything with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn and love the rest of the cast, so I was sold on this movie before I even saw a preview. The idea is so great. To actually schedule your life around "wedding season" and crash weddings every weekend to hook up with women. The idea of wedding crashing being almost a sport was just so funny.

The cast of Wedding Crashers does a wonderful job with this great script. This is definitely a movie we'll end up owning on DVD. It's a movie that you can easily watch again and again and still laugh.

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004)

Cast: Vince Vaughn (Peter La Fleur), Christine Taylor (Kate Veatch), Ben Stiller (White Goodman), Rip Torn (Patches O'Houlihan), Juston Long (Justin)
For complete info, see IMDb's Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story page.

This is another very good movie with Vince Vaughn. He and Ben Stiller are hilarious in this and the rest of the cast is great, too. Ben Stiller goes a little too far over the top sometimes, but that's what he's known for most.

Sometimes, a movie is so ridiculous that it's worth watching and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is a very good example of that. I mean - a professional dodgeball team to save a dying gym? What could be more perfectly funny? If you missed this in the theatre, definitely consider renting it.

Starsky & Hutch (2004)

Cast: Ben Stiller (David Starsky), Owen Wilson (Ken Hutchinson), Snoop Dog (Huggy Bear), Vince Vaughn (Reese Feldman)
For complete cast info, see IMDb's Starsky & Hutch page.

If you go into this looking for the same Starsky & Hutch you know from the TV show, you may be disappointed. However, if you go in just looking for a fun flick that is pays homage to the show you loved, I think it's a fun movie. Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller are really funny together. I tend to only like Ben Stiller in certain movies, but like Owen Wilson in almost anything, so I wasn't sure how I'd react to them together as the main characters in a movie. I really enjoyed Starsky & Hutch for what it was meant to be.

I wasn't sure what to expect, as always with a beloved TV show being turned into a movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think as long as you go into the theatre (or rental) with an open mind and just looking for a funny movie that it's very enjoyable.
