Georgia Rule (2007)

Cast: Jane Fonda (Georgia), Lindsay Lohan (Rachel), Felicity Huffman (Lilly), Dermot Mulroney (Simon), Cary Elwes (Arnold)
For complete cast info, see IMDb's Georgia Rule page.
Considering all the horrible things I heard about the filming of Georgia Rule, I wasn't expecting much, which is why I'd planned to rent it. When it was available on my flight back from New York, I thought that was perfect. I was surprised to find Georgia Rule pretty entertaining. Much better than what I expected. Not a great movie, but definitely worth renting or using to pass the time on a flight.

Just My Luck (2006)

Cast: Lindsay Lohan (Ashley Albright), Chris Pine (Jake Hardin), Faizon Love (Damon Phillips), Missi Pyle (Peggy Braden)
For complete info, see IMDb's Just My Luck page.
In spite of the transparent plot, Just My Luck is a very cute romantic comedy. The idea of someone (Ashley) who has the best luck in the world and someone who is the polar opposite (Jake), having the worst luck in everything makes for a good story.
This is definitely not the best movie I've seen, but it is worth the time to watch Just My Luck as a rental. If you want a light romantic comedy that's very funny, this is a great way to spend a couple hours.

Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004)

Cast: Lindsay Lohan (Mary Elizabeth Cep/Lola), Adam Garcia (Stu), Glenne Headly (Karen), Alison Pill (Ella)
For complete cast info, see IMDb's Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen page.
This was a much funnier movie than I anticipated. I figured it'd just be your standard teen flick, which was perhaps worth renting. Instead, I enjoyed this movie. It made me think of my sister a little, since she's always been a bit of a drama queen and was definitely in the "In" group in school.
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen is very funny and worth renting. Everyone has known people like this and it's funny to watch - especially if you can imagine what it would be like to be taken from somewhere like New York City and left in a suburb (any suburb) away from all the action.

Mean Girls (2004)

Cast: Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron), Rachel McAdams (Regina George), Tina Fey (Ms. Norbury), Tim Meadows (Mr. Duvall), Amy Poehler (Mrs. George)
For complete cast, see IMDb's Mean Girls page.
I didn't read the original book by Rosalind Wiseman, but Tina Fey (of Saturday Night Live fame) did an amazing job with the screenplay. Mean Girls is a great movie about high school cliques. There hasn't been a high school clique as interseting as the Plastics since the Heathers. This is a great, fun movie rental!

The Parent Trap (1998)

Cast: Lindsay Lohan (Hallie Parker/Annie James), Dennis Quaid (Nick Parker), Natasha Richardson (Elizabeth James), Elaine Hendrix (Meredith Blake), Lisa Ann Walter (Chessy)
As a fan of the original The Parent Trap movie with Hayley Mills, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about a new version. I was very pleasantly surprised. They did a wonderful job with this updated version. Yes, you've seen the story before, but the updated version works very well. The story is still very possible, even if it is incredibly unlikely. The story of identical twins who meet at camp and hate each other instantly being forced to share a cabin in solitary confinement and learning that they're sisters is sweet.
I also thought it was cool that Joanna Barnes (who played the girlfriend of the twins' father in the original movie) came back to play the mother of the girlfriend of the twins' father in the new version. The little things that make someone who knows the original smile if they realize it...
I'm also a big fan of cuppy bunny (the very well loved bunny that accompanies one of the girls to camp). The story is still very sweet and it's very well done. The cast is wonderful and I highly recommend taking a look at the remake of The Parent Trap.
