Caroline, or Change, tour, Ahmanson - LA (2004)

Cast: Tanya Pinkins (Caroline Thibodeaux), Anika Noni Rose (Emmie Thibodeaux), and many other talented performers

Much of the original cast was in Caroline, or Change when it came to the Ahmanson and I was very happy to get to see these Tony winning (Anika Noni Rose) and nominated (Tanya Pinkins & the musical) performances. The cast was totally amazing and both my husband and I liked the show more than we thought we would given the clip they chose to show on the Tony awards that year.

Fortunately, the song they did for the awards show was our least favorite and the rest of the musical was very good. Definitely not the best orchestrated musical ever, but it was very good and deserved the nominations and awards it received in 2004.

Grade: C+
