Memento (2001)
Cast: Guy Pearce (Leonard), Carrie-Anne Moss (Natalie), Joe Pantoliano (Teddy Gammell)
For complete cast info, see IMDb's Memento page.
I heard that Memento was great when it was in the theaters, but somehow I didn't get around to seeing it, till a friend ownded it and I saw it on DVD. What a mistake. I should have listened to those who saw it in theaters. This is an amazing movie!
With the main story going backwards and the clips of Leonard's client going forwards, this movie is mind-boggling the first time you see it. I'm glad I didn't buy it immediately, since I was able to get the collector's edition, which allows you to watch the whole movie in chronological order as one of the special features. That's really cool!
I can't recommend this amazing movie highly enough. I've never seen a movie that is so completely unique. Memento allows you to decide what to believe and what not to believe. It doesn't spell the entire story out for you or assume that you're not intelligent enough to figure it out for yourself and I LOVE that about this movie! It's one of my favorite movies of all time and probably always will be.
Rent this movie! See it now and watch the special features. It's well worth it!
