Not the best play and the fight direction (in spite of being done by a group that's choreographed many wonderful Broadway fights) needed a lot of work. The cast is great and I liked the story. I'd definitely recommend seeing it, especially since it's always available at TKTS. Tickets are expensive now. Enjoy an entertaining play with a great cast.

I thought the play was great, so when I heard they were making Doubt into a movie, I was a little concerned. Fortunately, the author of the play (John Patrick Shanley) also wrote the screenplay and made sure that they stuck to his original idea. The movie was very well done. Definitely not a happy subject, but if you're in the mood for a drama, I highly recommend this play. It's a great play and they did a good job taking it from stage to screen. The cast is amazing and they used their locations well.

I can't imagine this show being done by anyone other than Jefferson Mays, who definitely deserved the Tony he got for best actor in this play. I am My Own Wife is a great play based on a true story about Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a German transvestite surviving the Nazi regime and the Soviet-dominated Communist dictatorship that followed in East Germany. It's a fascinating story. I never imagined a play with just one actor could be so interesting.

Denis O'Hare really blew us away. The rest of the cast was great, too, but Denis O'Hare stole every scene he was in. I definitely understand why he won the Tony award for best actor in a play for this role.
In spite of what I had heard, Take Me Out was less about someone coming out o the closet and more about the lives of everyone on the team and the way Darren dealt with everything in his life. I'm glad that it received the Tony award for best play this year! If you have a chance to see this show, I highly recommend it.
For mature audiences only due to nudity.

Another great production of Proof. If you ever get a chance to see this play, I highly recommend it. I can now firmly state that it is my favorite play. I felt that Proof had replaced Dancing at Lughnasa as my favorite when I first saw it last year, but until I distance myself from a show for a bit I cannot be certain it will stay my favorite. More than 6 months later, I feel confident that Proof is my favorite until I find something else I like more.
If there is a local production of Proof, take the time to see it. Proof is the touching story of a woman dealing with her father's madness and genius and the fears of inheriting not only his genius, but also his madness. Such a great show. David Auburn deserves every bit of praise he is getting for this Tony award winning play!

I think Proof has just replaced Dancing at Lughnasa as my favorite play of all time. Dancing at Lughnasa has been my favorite for years, so I won't be sure for a few months, but Proof is an amazing play!
This story of a woman coming to terms with her father's genius and madness (and the fact that she might be inheriting more than just his genius from him) is brilliant! It's the most deserving best play recipient I've seen in years.
The cast that performed Proof at the Wilshire is also wonderful. I highly recommend Proof whenever you can see it!

Basic story about a city guy who gets "trapped" in a small town, learns to love it, and finds someone to love. This story about a young doctor who causes a traffic accident in a small town and has to work in their "hospital" to make up for the damage done is cute, even though it's not original. I've always enjoyed watching Michael J. Fox on screen and Doc Hollywood is no exception. It's nothing special, but worth catching when it comes on at home or if you're renting.
