Purple Violets (2007)

Cast: Selma Blair (Patti Petalson), Patrick Wilson (Brian Callahan), Edward Burns (Michael Murphy), Debra Messing (Kate Scott)
For complete info, see IMDb's Purple Violets page.

I hadn't even heard of this movie when it came out in theatres, which surprised me considering the fact that I like almost everyone in the cast. Then, I read on IMDb that it was the first film to premiere on iTunes, so I guess that's why I hadn't heard of it.

Purple Violets deals with authors struggling to please their fans and come up with their next great novels while managing to handle their personal lives at the same time. If you enjoy Edward Burns, I definitely recommend renting this movie. The cast is great and the story kept me interested throughout the movie.
