The Drowsy Chaperone, World Premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre in LA (2005)

Cast: Bob Martin (Man in Chair), Sutton Foster (Janet)
For a more complete cast list, see Playbill.com's The Drowsy Chaperone cast announcement.

The Drowsy Chaperone was the most original work I've seen in years. I was really amazed by the story line and the unique presentation. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, since it should be heading to Broadway in 2006 and probably a tour after that (it's a fun show). This musical is a one act show that takes place in the Man in Chair's apartment as he shares a favorite musical with the audience. The music isn't the best, but the cast is amazing and the show as a whole is hilarious. A great show for the whole family. Everyone should be able to enjoy this one!

I was very happy to finally see Sutton Foster in person, since she was sick when I saw Thoroughly Modern Millie. I hadn't seen Bob Martin in anything before this, either, and he was really great.

Go see this unique musical and take your friends and family! Enjoy the comedy.
