Ragtime, Musical Theatre West - Long Beach (2005)

Cast: David Jennings (Coalhouse Walker, Jr.), Nicole Pryor (Sarah), Victoria Strong (Mother), and many other talented actors

I'm still upset that The Lion King got the Tony for best musical in 1998 instead of Ragtime. I think Ragtime is a wonderful show and it was great to see it again, especially since my fiance had never seen it.

The cast of this production was very good. Not as great as the touring production I saw a few years ago, but it was very well done.

The show is still amazing with a great score, wonderful lyrics, and very moving story. I highly recommend this show if there is a local company doing it in your area.
