Rent, tour, Orange County Performing Arts Center (2004)

Cast: Dan Rosenbaum (Roger Davis), Andy Meeks (Mark Cohen), and other great cast members

Rent will probably always be my favorite musical. The moment I first saw it in the west coast premiere in La Jolla in 1997, I fell in love with the music, the lyrics, and the sentiment of the show. I am so sad that Jonathan Larson is no longer with us. Imagine what he could have done in time.

The cast of the current touring production is really great. This was probably the second or third best cast I've seen, which is saying a lot, since I've seen it 10 times now.

Of course, I will always highly recommend Rent to anyone who has not seen it (and even those who have).
