This movie about an FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate the mob is different from the other mob infiltration movies I've seen. In Donnie Brasco the agent ends up really identifying with the mafia life. And, on the other side, Lefty ends up really working to protect Donnie even when he discovers that he's been betrayed by him. He looks more hurt than angry and seems to understand that Donnie was just doing his job.

I highly recommend this movie!

Grade: B+
