Greg Behrendt, Irvine Improv (2007)
Greg Behrendt: Love Sex Pudding Death
In spite of perhaps sounding edgier than Greg Behrendt is Uncool (the last show of his we saw), Greg Behrendt spent the last year doing a daytime TV show where he told women who were too dumb to figure out that guys didn't like them to move on, so he's a bit out of practice. This show wasn't as funny as the last one. I'd say give it a bit of time before going back to see him.
Instead, buy his DVD Greg Behrendt is Uncool" and wait a few months until he comes to your area or comes back - then check out his show. He's a hilarious comedian, but this show was definitely not as funny as the last time we saw him live or as his DVD, so wait a bit for him to get back into the swing of things before checking him out again.
We still enjoyed the show a lot, don't get me wrong. Much funnier than many comedians we've seen at the Improv and other comedy venues we've been attended, just not as great as his last show.

Ron "Tater Salad" White (2005)

If you thought Ron White was funny on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, he's even funnier in person. I was surprised to find out that he didn't do many jokes I had heard before, in spite of the fact that I'd seen him in his own DVD's and the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He managed to fit things I had heard in other jokes (like the way he says "coupon"), which was great, too.
I highly recommend seeing Ron White on tour if you get the chance. He's one of my favorite comedians and he put on an amazing show live!

Greg Behrendt, Irvine Improv (2005)

In case you don't recognize the name, Greg Behrendt is the author of the hilarious book, He's Just Not That Into You. Since I decided to read that book because of seeing Greg on Oprah when I was home sick, I thought that we had to see him in person when he was at the Improv.
Greg Behrendt, the Author of He's Just Not That Into You was apparently always a stand-up comic. I'd never heard of him until I was sick for a week and accidentally saw him on Oprah. I'm not a big fan of Oprah (person or show), but as the show started, the idea of the book intrigued me (a friend of mine needed to read it, and I bought it for her, though I read it first and now have my own autographed copy, it's so funny). I watched the whole show, which is a stretch for those of you who know me and the odds of me watching an entire Oprah episode when there were dozens of movies on and we have hundreds of DVDs I could have chosen. However, Greg Behrendt was so funny that I couldn't turn the channel and had to buy the book.
As soon as I saw he was going to be at the Improv, I got tickets and the person I'd bought the book to help (though it hasn't much yet... I keep hoping) and another friend of hers who read it joined us.
My instincts were right. We all loved the show. Greg Behrendt is hilarious! Greg is a hilarious stand-up comedian! I highly recommend seeing him in person if you have the chance and buying his DVD Greg Behrendt is Uncool. I'd see him again in a heart beat! I was laughing so hard. The opening acts were great, too, though I know those are forever changing at every different club. The entire night was great. The Improv is always a lot of fun, but Greg Behrendt was great! I related to a lot of the skits, which certainly helped. I never wanted to be a rocker, but related to where he was coming from in many of his other routines. If you have a chance to see Greg live, do it. He's hilarious. I bought the CD right away. He's very friendly to his fans, too, which is always nice to see, though I guess when you write a book like He's Just Not That Into You, if you're not nice to your fans some of them might break down and cry.
