Van Helsing (2004)

This story about a notorious monster killer sent in to Transylvania to stop Count Dracula from using Dr. Frankenstein's research and a werewolf for his purposes is far from well-done. However, I don't think it's as bad as everyone is making it out to be, either. Are the vampire brides beyond ridiculous? Definitely. Is it a great film? No way. But it IS entertaining and sometimes that's good enough. I think it's worth renting and I'm not upset that I saw this in a movie theatre, even though it probably could have been done better. Van Helsing was entertaining enough to hold my attention throughout the movie, so it was good enough for me.
